You really don't want to miss an opportunity to eat here while in Erie. I know I'm looking forward to entertaining my out of town guests at this fabulous eatery. Yet another diamond among Erie's fine dining experiences.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Erie. I have eaten here many times and I have never been disappointed. My favorite is the Chilean Sea Bass entree and for dessert the best Creme Brulee ever!

Bertrand's Bistro is my favorite restaurant. The food is the best and it's wonderful to visit a place where they remember you and know what you like.
I used to think that Bertrand's was only a "special occasion" restaurant - now I stop by for an appetizer and a glass of wine anytime I am near.

I've been eating at Bertrand's French Bistro for many years.I had dinner there on Tuesday with my employers, co-workers and guest.We had the most delicious dinner! In fact I was a chef with Beretrand in the 1980's, and my husband says " Bertrand is the only one he feels that can cooks better than me". Well, he dose have a biased opinion. But, he is right that the food, service and atmosphere is the most enjoyable place in Erie. I would recommend every one to experience this most delightful restaurant!!

My friends and I have a birthday club and try local restaurants in and around Erie. Last night, we had dinner at Bertrand's and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, our server was very fun and did I mention the food was excellent? Had the cream of mushroom soup, steamed mussels and stuffed shrimp. Highly recommend the soup. We will definately keep Bertrand's on our list for another birthday celebration.

I enjoyed Bertrand's very much when I first arrived in Erie last summer. While I did think the owner could be a bit more attentive, the food itself is outstanding. Dinners were always excellent, both in presentation and taste. Now that I've tried the brunch I'm truly a huge fan. The crepes were outstanding, the charcuterie plate excellent and the cooked foods sublime. Even better they charge a a lot less for kids brunch, making it a very suitable Sunday morning destination for the whole family. Bravo!

Phenomenal Sunday Brunch! Whenever my sister is in town this is the first stop on her list, and my first recommendation to visiting friends and new Erieites. Dinner here is truly an experience, with entrees unlike any others. I have so many favorites it is hard to choose between the Lobster Mac & Cheese or my favorite special the succulent Dry Aged Steak that melts in your mouth. Don't forget your digestif--Bertrand has an amazing selection of scotches, liqueurs, and other after dinner drinks. Make sure to get on the email list, he regularly hosts special events like wine pairing dinners and a Beaujolais Nouveau party in the fall.

Bertrand and LuAnn are incredible! When you want to feel like you've died and gone to heaven, stop by Bertrand's and try one of their AWESOME crepes. Their food has a taste like no other. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Erie.

It had been some time since we enjoyed the French cuisine at Bertrand's and the sampling we had this past Sunday at the Taste of Erie at the Brewerie at Union Station reminded us of what we were missing. The classical training Bertrand has, came through on his Bread Pudding, the richness and flavor were second to none.
While not a typical stop for our Ride N Dine Club I do look forward to making reservation and making it a monthly destination again. Whether in a good or bad economy, there are some pleasures in life worth splurging on and Bertrand's is one of them. I challenge you to take a trip around the world with out leaving Erie.... when you get around to enjoying the French cuisine portion of your trip you will find no finer option than Bertrand's Bistro.

LUCK! - We're lucky to have this chef in ERIE! Bertand's will never let you down, everything is fantastic... but if you have never tried breadpudding before...or if you have - you need to have Bertrand's bread pudding - especially his chocolate version (Sunday Brunch only, I believe)...I don't think there is a dessert better anywhere! GREAT flavors come from the best organic (usually) ingredients!

What can I say, this is French and romantic and fabulous food!!! If you don't want dinner, don't forget you can stop in late at night just for coffee and desert! Try the crepes!! I'll tell ya, there exactly like the ones you get from the vendors on the corners in Paris. Bertrand certainly brought the taste of Paris to Erie. Both Bertrand and LuAnne have been in the Restaurant business a long time and know how to treat their patrons. A must visit!

You don't have to be French to enjoy the fine dinners here. The atmosphere is charming and cozy. I had the Chicken Boursin which is served in a white creamy sauce with fresh asparagus and au gratin potatoes and served with a fresh salad and bread with seasoned oil. Everybody in our party seemed to enjoy their dinners. Great place for that first date or time well spent with friends.

If you live in Erie and haven’t eaten at this charming French restaurant you are missing out. It is a fabulous place to bring a date, but, also great place for dinner meeting (which is how I came to eat here). Be careful not to fill up on the warm, crusty French bread, it is soooo good! Our group had a choice between chicken, fish or veal which everyone enjoyed. Some of us stayed after for great conversation and drinks in the bar area. We met the chef/owner and told him how much we enjoyed our meals. This place is a real gem.

You gotta come to Bertrand's for some amazing high quality French food! The menu changes often and their specials are always to die for. Honestly, every time I go there, I don't even look at the actual menu but simply pick from one of the specials.
Excellent wine and quick service is always on hand as well.

Bertrand's is a really classy place to eat downtown. It is right at the Perry Square.
The food is phenomenal and always prepared quickly. Their "crepes" are out of this world... exactly what you would expect from genuine French chef.
