    Thinking of somewhere you would like to see your enemy eat at? Then send them to the place where the owner has no cuth. This past weekend I had the WORST experience I have ever had at this place.....the owner belittled our guest of honor - overcharged each meal on our tab - threw three one dollar bills at me when I questioned a charge that didn't match the cost on the printed menu - then would not provide a copy of my cash receipt when I requested it......it used to be my favorite place....never again!!!
    It was so bad I even took the time to write a letter to the editor of our local paper.....and I never get this upset!

    We went to Colao's for a holiday party a couple of years ago. The food was a little pricey for this working class stiff but FABULOUS! There was not a single item that anyone in our party ate, appetizers to desert, that was not beautifully presented & incredibly delicious. We have a 25th wedding anniversary coming up next spring & this is where I plan to request to be taken to. Great for a special occasion.

    You know how they say not to eat spaghetti on a date?... well forget it! This is definitely the place to take someone on a date! You'll love it and if you don't know how to eat spaghetti without getting it all over you, there are plenty of other dishes to choose from. Mangia!

    I'm Italian, and any Italian knows were fussy Italian food critics. This place not only has great food, but what I really appreciate is when you order a house glass of Merlot or any wine, you actually get a really good glass of wine. I'm sure you can relate. Alot of other Restaurants will give you this cheap watered down wine. Not here. Go see for yourself!

    Great Italian food, especially the appetizers! The second floor is a fine place for private parties--my office had it's Christmas party there and it was great!

    I have eaten here many times. I love the crab cakes. A great place to meet up with your friends and have a drink and one of their great appetizers. I would highly recommend this place if you love Italian food.

    Colao’s is definitely one of my favorite Italian restaurants. The specials are so good that it is tough to make a decision. Great for family dinner or a night out with the girls for drinks & snacks.

    Along with it's rival Peppino's one of Erie's best Italian restaurants. Very good food all around, great service from the wait staff. I've always gone on quiet nights and while the owners do seem to know everyone they don't really make it a point to come over to meet new faces. I think that in this economy an owner's focus should be on equally divided between cultivating new clients as well as mixing with the regulars. Both of the last times we went in the owner was on the steps chatting with diners and did not even greet us upon entrance. Great food though.

    You've got to try the mushroom ravioli with Truffle Oil. Also, you can request a Caprese Salad anytime (you just won't find it on the menu). Unbelievably fresh mozzerela and sweet, syurpy balsamic. Always consistent with foods & service!

    The food is to die for! I have never had a less then "fab" meal! The tiramisu dessert was delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and the owner also came over to make sure we were enjoying our dining experience and took time to speak to us for a bit. Very nice and warm place!

    Love it. What else can I say. Nice intimate place for a fantastic Italian dinner. They have interesting specials, and when the Lasagna is on tap, I think it's the best in town. Save room for desert. A cup of coffee and a relaxing desert finish off a wonderful meal and make this dining experience a real treat. Great choice !!!
