I'm a retired California Real Estate Broker. I retired to the GOLD Country, the foothills of the Sierra's - along Hwy 49, in Jackson, CA. This is paradise to me. Amador County boasts of a population of less than 38,000 residence. There are many places to fish, hike, photograph, paint and/or just relax. Yet, the location is only a sort drive from the San Francisco Bay Area and all that Sacramento (capital of the state) has to offer. California's, northern and central, famed wine country starts minutes away, to no more than a short 'day-trip,' from Jackson. Plus, I have the added benefit of all the fabulous restaurants surrounding them. I enjoy traveling and tasting fine foods. My current life style affords me the luxury to visit many areas of the country, and to sample the best dining experiences they have to offer.
